The WHY of WordPress:

A Self-Hosted WordPress blog is definitely my platform of choice. I spent the first 3 years in my, ahem, blogging career over at Blogger, a great platform for getting started. Note: If you intend to move to WordPress in your blogging future – it is smart to start with WordPress or move as soon as possible. The move can be quite involved when it comes to moving permalinks, feeds & content.
